SO WHAT'S THE STORY WITH TOWER 17?

Tower 17 is an elevated position offering a sweeping view of the situation at hand.  From here you can see the horizon, but you can also see the grains of sand.  You can study waves, watch them build and learn how to catch their momentum.  You can spot problems before they turn into crises.  You can gain a big picture view, getting clarity on situations that otherwise seem complicated.  Tower 17 is the highest spot on the mountain, and the highest spot on the beach.  Tower 17 spans the distance from ocean to mountains, from urban sensibilities to resort expertise.  At Tower 17, the answer to the question "Is it possible?" is always "Yes."

Tower 17 is also a real place, a lifeguard tower located on Will Rogers State Beach in Los Angeles, California.  It is Susan's original home turf, a place where she began going for clarity, focus and inspiration more than twenty years ago.  And it is the place Susan developed the perspective that continues to inform her work today.
